The Board of Directors and Staff of the Police Athletic League are deeply saddened by the news that Natalie Lewis died tragically in the hot air balloon crash over central Virginia on Friday May 9th.
Natalie was a PAL summer intern in our tennis program for four summers. She was devoted to serving the youth in her care, always with a huge smile and a wonderful attitude. She was a fantastic role model for others, including the other interns who worked with Natalie at the tennis courts on Nottingham as part of PAL’s summer tennis camp.
Natalie was a hard worker, a joy to be around — and everyone who knew her knew she would succeed at whatever she tried. We join all of Buffalo in mourning her passing and ask each of you to lift her family and hold them close in your prayers.
